Recommended: Glacier Point Astronomy Club Meetings

If you visit Yosemite on a summer weekend, head straight up to Glacier Point after sunset. Every Saturday night, local astronomy clubs set up their telescopes on the hill looking over Half Dome and share their equipment with the public.

We had no idea we were walking into the Hotel from Stanley Kubrick's The Shining until we were standing in the lobby.  Should have brought my typewriter.  :)
